WE LOOK FORWARD TO HAVING YOU ABOARD. PLEASE KEEP US POSTED WITH NEW AND IMPORTANT CHANGES FORMULA WILL BE MAKING, AND ALSO NEW MODELS. WE HAVE ALOT OF EAST COAST BOATERS ON THE SITE, AND ALL WILL BENEFIT FROM YOU BEING HERE. THANKS AGAIN, GARY

Welcome to the Formula forum, lots of good things happening here. Hope you folks are checking in from time to time. Can you tell me how far you are located from Black dog Props? I am coming to DC next week and will try and drop off my props for tuning, will drop by if you are open on Wednesday, although it is the day before Thanksgiving. Looks to be about an hour drive from Washington, is this a fair estimate or is it 2 hours because of local traffic? Thanks for your input....George

Well, dropped the props off at Black Dog this morning, then went over to NAMG. What a nice area :) Saw a 31PC on stands, I/O's and nice burgandy color....stopped by the office but my NY energy was running(it was a little after 8AM), they don't get moving until 9 or so....left my card with Jamie (I believe that was her name) the receptionist. Great personality, they probably should move her to the sales floor at some point. Left my card for Rita, maybe this time she will check this thread and respond....I was going to buy the 45 Yacht they have sitting outside the office but then they would have nowhere to go for lunch, so I passed for today ;D The Morning Sand is gorgeous, they also had a 34 with the hardtop across the way which looked great from a distance....Perhaps when I pick up my props next trip they will be available, otherwise I'll just have to smile at the receptionist again - not a problem though, she is easy on the eyes ;) Maybe she should be monitoring this thread...just a suggestion....G

GEORGE,
THAT 45 YACHT HAD YOUR NAME ON IT. FORGET PICKING UP THOSE PROPS, YOU WON'T NEED THEM. THEY WON'T FIT YOUR NEW BOAT!!!!!

Hey Gary, you're right, my name was written all over that boat. Unfortunately if I believed that was "my" name, it would also be written all over the divorce papers!! ::) Have you noticed how deep the hulls seem to be in the past couple of years? As if they are making the hull deeper to give you more room inside as opposed to giving you more beam, which would have a direct (and adverse) effect on performance. The 45 yacht sits so tall in the water it gives the effect of being bigger than 45'. And the hardtop on the 34 made it seem like a bigger boat; I was looking at it from a distance but it had a very nice profile, and ya gotta love that Morning Sand color.

Sorry I missed you when you came in...but I did forward your compliment to Jamie, it made her day! Did you pick up your props yet? If not, please make sure to let us know when you be in and we'll show you around....If we know you're going to be an early bird we'll have someone here earlier than 9 to meet you.

Rita, so glad to see you checking in and responding here. I won't be picking up the props until after the New Year - they are waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy down on the list of priorities right now - but they are in very capable hands with Steve King at Black Dog Propellor. I will certainly let you know exactly when I will be in town, maybe you can arrange for a demo ride on the 45 Yacht. Send me Jamie's email address, then I can notify her and neither of us will have to worry about you checking in here to get the message! :D Hey, if you host a Formula rendezvous next summer, can I come down and ride/drive one of "your" boats, it would be a lot cheaper than driving my boat down there......... In the meantime, HAPPY HOLIDAYS.....George

OK Rita, here is the deal: I will be in the area on Friday, May 2, 2008. I have picked up my props already so the only reason I am coming over (we are in DC for a couple of days) is to be entertained by NAMG. I should be there between 9-9:30 and can stay as late as 2PM. Since it is a Friday I want to get back inside the beltway before the drama begins. Perhaps you can post here when you would be available or when Jamie can show me around the grounds. I am leaving the checkbook home but maybe you can sell me some preventive maintenance parts I can buy with a piece of plastic ;D You've got about 60 hours to respond before we hit the road....thanks....George

Since your the new dealer in the area, are you going to have any kind of Rendezvous for formula owners

Hi. No, it's not the same boat. The boat that was in the show last year had the black cherry hull w/twin Volvo 8.1 Gi and it has new owners (Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Matthews!). The boat that will be at this years show is Sapphire Blue Flagship Hull w/Twin Merc Seacore 496. If you are interested I can send you the full specs...
