Water in cabin after choppy ride

I have a 2005 330ss - took a run across Lake Erie. 8 footers, yikes.

After docking, noticed I had wet carpeting at the entrance to the cabin? No water over bow. Anchor locker?

Ideas?

Thank you.

Was there water in your bilge area? Nosing down those 8fts the boat will be a decline and any water in the engine or center bilge is sure to run forward. In my 292 I on occasion get water under my cabin step. I try to keep bilge as dry as possible. Depending on how hard a beating you took, you might want to check your water tank to see if its leaking. Lastly, if you got AC it could be water from the condensate pan that spilled over.

Great thanks. Bilge was surprisingly dry. Found a access cover under carpet near step. Little holding area with a plug. Looks like it may have a passage way all the way up front, anchor locker?

I'm not familiar with your model but that should be your front bilge, or center bilge. Take a look in your manual. There should be a bilge pump in there that is further back maybe under the stairs (I get to mine in the aft cabin) but its not low enough to get all the water out. I have had water splash up out of mine and its annoying. I try to suck it out with a shop vac when my brain remembers to do so.
