swim platform removal help?

Hey guys and gals, does anyone know how to remove the swim platform from a 206. Mine is an 86 with the exhaust giong straight through the transom and platform. I first removed the exhaust, hoses, and tips. I then removed two lag bolts from either side from the inside on the engine compartment. I then removed three out of the four nuts from the inside of the u-bolts. One of them I haven't been able to loosen yet. As far as I can tell, I have everything off that I can see except that one stubborn nut, however the swim platform still feels as firmly attatched as it did when I started. I'm removing it to replace it. It is in pretty rough shape and I don't know if it could be repaired. Any advice would be appreciated.

I see this thread is pretty old but, I had the same problem with an '88 242. Found that there was adhesive (unintentionally I believe) sandwiched between the platform and the transom. Freind of mine and I worked it for most of a day to get it loose.

I just had a extended swim platform installed on my 2003 330ss and the adhesive is standard factory spec. The dealer mechanic said that the bolts are just "extra" the adhesive is strong enough to hold the platform without the bolts. With that comment I would say that just you could cause a lot of damage by just prying the platform off.
