Summer Trailer Fixes

Very purdy [emoji106]
Did the trailer come with the boat? If so I would carefully check the tires over. Also verify age (date codes). Anything more than 5-6 years old time to consider replacement. A lot depends on how the trailer is stored and usage conditions of course but also many brands are made in China bombs. Friend of mine just had one let loose in the middle of the night on the highway. I put a set of Goodyear Endurance E loads on to replace 8 yr old C load Marathons. They still looked mint but I hate side of the road sweating sack events.

Sorry for the huge delay, yes, the tires and wheels were new 2 years or so ago.

I kept 1 of the old wheels + tire as a spare now too. I had to replace the wheels as they were some stupid like 17.5" or something size, vs. 16 or 18. I'm not sure what it was, but now I have a much more common size wheel for when I need tires in the future.

Definitely not looking forward to it. I think I'm going to switch over from 4 hydraulic drums/surge setup to two discs with electric in the next year.

The electric brakes work going backwards down the ramp so I highly recommend them. I would also install them on all axles as this is required in alot of states.

Yeah, looking back wish I had taken this approach. But I only haul it 2x a year (technically 1 round trip), so I went the cheaper route.
