This screw (the bottom left, larger one) secures the cabinet to the hull. There are 2 of them I can see. This one is stripped/not working. I planned to just remove it and use a larger screw, but it's a machine thread - so it's (supposed to) go into a lock-nut on the other side, but... no way to get to that? I thought it would just be a 'wood screw' and go into fiber glass? Anyone know what's under this cabinet where we keep the cockpit cover, tools, spare oil etc?
thanks! Apparently we ride so rough, it's cracked around the washers, so I was going to put on some larger stainless washers. I can leave the screw in and just drill and put in a stainless wood thread type here, IF there's fiberglass under it to bite into.
