Well, I never did find a place. Anyone have any luck doing this at home? I'm willing to do the work, but would love an actual step by step and knowing exactly what to buy. there seem to be so many choices.
I have polished a lot of stainless steel but never a prop. I have used a thin 3m belt on a thin sander to remove the rough brushed look and green ruge to get the bright finish with a polisher. It takes a long time to get a mirror finish. I have attached a picture of the sander and in the description is a list of available scotchbrite belts. This unit is very expensive, but Harbor Freight has one also. Getting into the hub area and the cupped ears would be very difficult. Hope this helps.
