I needed a way to mount my phone securely, and still be able to grab when needed.
I run Navionics, so this works well for me.
I used some stainless from the local hardware store to thru bolt all this, and it holds very well, even at 45MPH in 4 foot rollers!
Behind the dash is a 12v outlet, with a USB-C plug in it, with USB-C to lighting for my phone.
I wanted a mount that wasn't stupid $, and this works for me. Also it's not for a specific phone, so if I change in the future, should just slide in.
someday I might replace that compass with a marine GPS, but this works for now.
