Hi all! Last year we were looking at a used 2007-08 310ss but didn’t pull the trigger and lost out. We just saw a 2007 330 SS and loved the size! I can actually stand in it. It’s very similar to the 310ss. Which boat offers a better ride in chop? We boat out of LI, NY on the Great South Bay. Does Deadrise make a difference and is the higher the Deadrise better or worse? Any and all advice is appreciated!

There a good article on your question called [What's the Deal with Deadrise?] link below

having seen the 310ss and 330ss there both great boats, we based our decision on size, our last boat was kept at a marina because of its size LOA: 33 ft 4 in and Beam: 11 ft 4 in, we wanted to travel and go from east to west coast Florida, trailering our boat was a must to us so the 310ss looked to be a better option, we ended up with 280ss.
OK Back to you both your options will handle waves extremely well. Read the article its informative

The 310 SS is going to be better in the chop because of its higher deadrise (22 degree vs. 20 for the 330 SS). Along with that comes a more narrow beam of the 310SS. One of the drawbacks of the 330SS is that it is not as good in the chop as the vintage 1980-1990's Formulas, which had 24 degree deadrise.

Your trade-off is more space (330 SS) vs. better ride (310SS)

We have a 330SS currently and the next boat will probably be the 310SS to get a 22 degree hull.

Yes, the 310 will be a better ride for the most part, with the 330 in higher chop you need to slow down and trim the boat out. But on the other hand the cabin space is a lot better on the 330, my wife and I spend a lot of nights on the boat and happy we went with the extra beam. The beam makes the boat more stable at the dock which is nice when sleeping (especially on windy nights) or just relaxing on the back. If you are looking to go faster and smother in chop the 310 is the choice. If your okay slowing down a bit and trimming but want more comfort and space the 330 will do that.
