Looking for a trailer

Hey Troy my options are open, I'm in fresh water, I could go either way, my old 242 had a Venture and I was quite happy with it.

I've got an aluminum trailer for my 206 and I like the fact that it's lighter than the steel ones. It makes it a little easier for my old Dodge 1500 to haul.

Load master is a great trailer. Also had good luck with Ace out of Florida $ seem right. Steal trailers are more expensive I have used a lot of Prestige Trailers. They make a good quality trailer that isn't that expensive, kind of like a Heritage just not as much $.

The nice thing with the custom is the electric over surge brakes. You have surge brakes to dip in the water, but the electric to turn them on and off every time you hit the brake pedal. So then its all hydraulic lines to the axle not wires. Also the fact it fits the boat like a glove makes easier loading and better look all matched up with your boat.

Bad thing with customs first is the cost, I'll bet its almost double the price of an aluminum. Next is if they have a jig for your boat still. I'm sure they would though considering we have used them for a bunch of trailers and the 242 is a pretty popular boat.

I would look used or call Ace in Florida they will deliver for you might be cheaper in the long run.

Thanks guys
troy I spoke with ace yesterday, notta bad price, but he keeps telling me the trailer will float on me ??? ???

Sorry for opening such an old thread but if you are still looking for a trailer.......

I have a Heritage trailer that was under a 1990 242LS Red in color and matching white stripes matching graphics on the boat. It is a little faded and most UNpainted surfaces are showing surface rust. The lights and brakes all work great, boards are in Fair shape and covered. Tires are in near new condition and white spoke rims are in good shape but a little faded as well. If you are looking for a cheap trailer that needs only cosmetic fixes this would be a great trailer.

I will E-mail Pics if interested.

thanks 90's I dont think a 242 trailer wood work and If I recall your on the otherside of the country so that would be a issue hoping to find something within a cpl hoursw and if I don't thats ok to, Ive finally got my trailer close to where I want it

I have been on other forums and sometimes intentions are lost in the words..... So please understand that I am not questioning your intentions or offended but I am confused why you would say a trailer from a 242 would not fit your 242 and what country am I out of ? Sincerely I am not offended but confused :)
