Livorsi Gauge Backlight failing

So, there should be a nice red light ring here, it seems to work when it wants to.
All the other panel lights light just fine, and it worked all summer just fine.
Now it lights up, then off. then on. then off. then on for a while. then off.

Is there a replaceable bulb in these, or do I have to replace the whole gauge?
Anyone know before I have to take the dash apart?

Also, the needle is SO faded. can these be taken apart and painted, or no dice?

thanks!

Have not taken them apart or owned them, but being intermittent I would think connections first

I had that thought as well, but with the boat on the trailer (very stationary), and the blinking of it, it didn't feel it was wiring, but you may be correct. The previous owner did a real hack job. Since it all 'worked' I never wanted to mess with it, but I guess I'll pull the gauge panel. The fun never ends.

At least it's not 90 and sunny, right? I don't have to get it back together tomorrow!

I just thought of that 12 days of Christmas song.... no, not that one. this one
"NOW WHY THE HELL ARE THEY BLINKING"?! lol

annhhnnndddd... before I take it apart, I test it out, and cannot get the light to flicker or turn off.
So, for now, I leave it alone. I'll run the panel lights while I'm working on other stuff and see if I catch it turning off.
