Hello from Switzerland: Formula 26 PC, aka „Sharky“ & User „83pantera“

Just got registered.
My name is René and I live direct at the Lake Constance - on the Swiss side.
I love almost everything consisting an "internal combustion engine" (…preferred with some HP’s) and, from time to time, budget leaves some room for toys which are mostly “political incorrect”.

After the absolutely gorgeous summer of 2015 in Switzerland; our long term wish of owning a boat was raised again, so we were looking during winter time a bit deeper in all these boating sales pages…
Some years ago I shared a Rinker 280 Fiesta Vee with a friend and therefore it was almost clear that it wouldn’t be a sporting boat. This in mind, and after viewing a range of boats on sale, I did a list with the preferred features of our future “family-member”:

- upright standing in the cabin below deck (I’m 6’2”)
- in the cabin 2 “ready to coma” sleeping beds in combination of a permanent table for 4 pers.
- rest room
- 2 engines (nice to have)
- not wider than 8.8 ft. (bigger chance to get a permanent lot in the local harbors)
- not smaller than 26 ft. in length
- sunbed on deck
- dining table on deck
- swim platform
- …and some features like GPS, TV, Audio etc.
- Budget max. 40K

Well, after a while we found “Sharky” which fits all above except the difficulty to create sunbed on the rear deck.
This is the only drawback of the old 26 PC because of the quite stupid design with the stern entry on the starboard and the isle on the port site…
As I learned now the later designs (27 PC) changed that.
I really hope I’ll find for the PC 26 a practical solution soon … Any suggestions from an insider?

Tech. Specs and features of “Sharky” (as far as I know):
Original delivery 1991 to lake Constance, 2x Volvo Penta 431 (each 205 SAE-HP) , bow thruster, Garmin GPS, Digital TV, 220V inverter, all sort of covers, Nespresso coffee machine, glasses, cups, plates, pillows, covers, safety wests etc.

Well, “on shore”, beside the daily work, I spend quite some time as president of the De Tomaso Club-Switzerland (owning a Pantera GT5) and enjoying also some events of the AMG-Owners Club with my
“old” SL55 AMG. Both cars are, in my eyes, very unique and I gave up to find something “better”...

Hm, unfortunately I don’t have some descend pictures yet – just the pictures from the advertisement and some from the final test run last weekend on the lake Zurich…

As I’m an absolute rookie in boat technology, I hope to find here in this forum some further input in order to increase my 26 PC know how and have a chat with Formula owners.

Welcome Rene. You'll find a wealth of knowledge on this site. 26PC is a classic boat and there are several other 26PC owners on here that patrol regularly. You'll enjoy many hours on her I'm sure.

Welcome to the forum Rene, nice boat and sounds like summer of 2016 in Switzerland is going to be fun for you and your family
