Glove Box Lid - Painting

Any special tips for painting the glove box lid? It appears to be aluminum.

I assume sand it best I can, then self etching primer, then ace rust stop white.

Also, check out the new rear sear and headrests. New seatback (all white) hopefully this fall.

I also plan, budget permitting, new front seat cover replacements and I'll do the headrests same grey/material as the rear ones. that could look cool.
