Calling on all Formula Owners,

The official date of our 7th Annual Birds on the Bay FORMULA Rendezvous has been set. We have decided to go back to a Rendezvous format from years past to incorporate a little old with a little new. So please mark your calendars for Labor Day Weekend Sept 3-4, 2016. All Formula models and years are welcome!

------------ On Saturday night Sept 3rd, we are having the "Pre-Rendezvous" happy hour @ Latitudes Dock-side Beach Bar on the Forked River at 6PM. Come meet your fellow Formula Owners and their families over a cold beverages, hot food, and enjoy a Formula story or two! Please let us know if you plan on coming by boat so we can have a slip reserved for you! -----------

------------ On Sunday Sept 4th, 10:30am starts our Sunday Funday with a raft-up @ F-Cove in Brick, NJ. We'll get the opportunity to see what these boats are really all about as we navigate north through Barnegat Bay to a safe, well protected, sought after destination here on New Jersey waters. No anchors, lines, or fenders are required! -----------

**If weather is not in our favor for Sunday, we will post-pone Sunday's activities until Monday, September 5th**

Just as a reminder, everyone is responsible for themselves, their crew, and their own vessels. We ask that you boat safely and responsibly. Please be sure to follow all boating laws, rules, guidelines, and regulations. Lastly, we ask you please keep a watchful eye out for others as well, this way we all can be sure to have enjoyable day!

Appreciate you stepping in and helping out Shawn. Always happy to through some business your way, hopefully some will make the most of your offer. Welcome to the forums too!

Shawn, we referred a 34PC looking for overnight accomodations your way. We also have been in contact with Eddie who works the docks for the restaurant to let him know we were coming in. Thank you for helping us out. I see you have/had a Formula also?

Sorry but holding this event on a 3-day Holiday Weekend makes it very tough to attend.

Looking forward to attending 2017's Birds on the Bay event when hopefully its on a "typical" Summer Weekend ;-)

Have a great, great, safe, safe time!

I've had a 41 PC for 2 years. I've been a member of this cite for the 2 years, its very helpful, and thank you

Thanks for the feedback Unforgettable, we really do appreciate it. We understand that holiday weekends are tough for many, and probably the reason why some can not attend. Just so you know, we do put a lot of thought into when and where to have our events. I'll try to explain our reasoning behind choosing the 3 day weekend vs the "typical" summer weekend.

1) We get a lot of interest from people outside of NJ for our events. We've had owners bring their boats in from Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania. We've had people reach out to us from Maryland, Delaware, North Carolina and as far south as Florida to express interest in attending. So for people coming in from out of town a "typical" summer weekend just isn't appealing to them. We want to give them time to boat the area and see what NJ boating is all about.

2) We figure if your already a NJ boater, holiday weekends are spent out on the water anyway. So, if your already on your boat, why not take a break from your normal routine and look for the FOONJ group. Doesn't have to just be for a Rendezvous either, we are always out there. Just look for the group of Formulas that are always rafted up together.

3) If you look our Pre-Rendezvous event is Saturday evening, with the actual Rendezvous being Sunday. The actual holiday, Monday, is yours to do what you want. So if you are having your own or plan on attending a family event you have that extra day so you can still be with your family. Another reason we spread it out is to give owners options. Maybe you work during the day and can't attend Sunday's event but Saturday evening your free, orr vice versa. We would like owners to attend both, if possible, but we understand if you can't. We just want to offer options that hopefully can fit somewhere into owners schedules.

4) The one thing we really have no control over with boating is the weather. A 3-day weekend gives that extra buffer day if needed. So if Sunday isn't looking promising, we always can postpone until Monday. Chances are we should be able to get at least 1 decent day out of the 3 to accomplish our goal of just bringing Formula owners together.

Roger that on all accounts.

Many, many thanks to you and your fellow associates for your level of care/attention to this event!

It certainly beats the previous SeaBag event(s) at Tices Shoal ;-)

Unfortunately my local Marina/Yacht Club holds it Annual Event on Sunday of Labor Day Weekend rain or shine which is truly enjoyed by the Grand-kids. As such, that's why I suggested a "typical" Summer Weekend ;-)

Maybe we'll see you on Saturday evening for a bit at Latitudes. Be sure to follow us not only on here but facebook and on our webpage www.formulaownersofnewjersey.com to keep tabs on everything we're doing. You never know we may just throw something together any random weekend if its going to be really nice.

Not going to make it this year, just got the boat a few weeks ago and the wife doesn't want to venture that far yet. Will definitely plan to go next year, have fun everyone and be safe!

Due to the infavorable rendezvous forecasted weather we have to postpone BOTB 2016. We will see how the weather is for possibly moving it to next weekend.

Casual group hangout in protected cove.

Sunday Sept 25th - Latitudes 10:30AM

Please let us know if you plan to attend!
