I have a 2007 Formula 45 and when being put into storage the handle that locks the front window/door to the bow was accidently broken off. Anyone out there have to fix this? what is involved?

yes i have and thank you very much for reaching out. Are you happy overall with the Formula 45? Any issues with the IPS drives/transmission/etc?

I am very happy with the 45, it is a comfortable boat with good performance and sea worthiness. I have had the boat for two years and so far no pod problems and I am amazed at the performance out of smaller diesels. That said I am prepared for them to bite me someday! I was told by IPS mechanics I talked to during my buying process that the boats that are used more often and maintain well have less issues.
Good luck with your handle issue, I thought Formula would have a solution. I actually was able to purchase a new front hatch over the master bed from them which saved the need to cut a larger hole in the deck.

Thanks so much for your reply! I love my 2007 as well...i did over $200K of upgrades after i purchased it including new IPS drives. That handle on the front window is tricky since it is welded in...trying to figure out what to do. Formula directed me right to Taylor Made so i've ordered parts. Lot of little things to learn about the boat. I have it stored in San Jose Del Cabo (dry stored on land). They splash the boat when i arrive and haul out/flush the engines and cover for me when i leave.
The little things don't bug me, but i am having an electrical issue that is causing alarms....frustrating but i'm sure it will get resolved.
take care and thank you!
enjoy your boat.
