Floating aluminum trailer; anyone???

Aquaforce,
Does Ace have a website? I like the way your trailer looks and I'm going to be looking for new one soon.

I think you'll like doing business with them. Good service and good product. The best pulling trailer I have ever towed. ;D

I went to their website last night. Found out they are in Tampa and that's not but about 2 hours away from me. Wouldn't be to far to drive to pick one up.

Every single aluminum trailer I've owned floated, including my single axle Fastload.

As far as Ace Trailers, and them being such nice guys, ask him if he ever paid off that judgement against them.

I started my trailer search at Nextrail. Who ever I talked to there was short with me. Acted like they didn't really have time to answer my questions and cut me off rudely. Their price was about a trailer sitting on springs and only $30 cheaper than the Ace on torsions.
When I called Ace the contact was attentive. Encouraged questions and spoke very knowledgeable with technical information in the answers. Yes my Ace trailer came wrong but I also left the guide posts in MD and Ace is makeing the correct trailer and they are replacing the guide posts that I lost free.
This is the first aluminum trailer that I have owned and the first torsion axle trailer for me. I have had many experiences with spring axle trailers that would sway because of improper loading weather it was what my dad made me do or a customer or my own stupidity. When I was able to pull my 242 LS back from MD at 80 mph with no swaying I was very impressed with torsions. I have NO tongue weight since this trailer is to short for the boat and a spring trailer would not have been able to travel over 35 or 40 mph.
I'm only saying that Ace did me well in service and I'm impressed with torsions.

So...will this judgment affect my trailer???
Was this from the former business name???
Is there something that I need to know about the judgment??

Oh yea..If I ever met the contact from Nextrail and I could know that was who treated me the way they did     I have no doubt that I could fix their problem ;)

Had a ameritrail"Alum" under my 260velocity only time it floated was when I left the tie down straps hook up to boat from trailer ;D. Ohter than that 5yrs no problems

I floated my trailer with my 206. I had never used rear straps on my old 18.7' Chapparral so the first time I launched my Formula I could not figure out why I could not, no matter how much power I gave it, back off of my trailer. I kept telling my girlfriend to put me in deeper. I mean, I gave it a lot of power in reverse! I could have easily pulled my jeep in if I had been on a steeper ramp with the trim down more. So I finally was in a position about 45 degrees to my jeep so I shut her down and got in the water to see what I was hanging up on. See, I thought the boat was hanging on a part of the trailer, and the trailer was still straight on the ramp. Boy was I wrong! The trailer was hanging under the boat and the tires were no where near the ramp. The current was strong enough that I couldn't straighten the thing up swimming. So I fired her up and under power I was able to bring her back straight while my girlfriend waited to quickly snatch me up the ramp in 4wheel low. Bad beginning to a day at the lake. I leave the straps in the garage now.

My trailer floats and will drift out of position before I can load the boat. So obviously now I have the tow vehicles driver line up but wait for my signal to put the trailer into the water. It works just fine and I enjoy the easier towing and perceived gas savings. Just my experience - hope it helps :)
