anchor washdown hose

My 2011 34PC has a coiled washdown hose with a garden hose type nozzle connected to it in the anchor locker. I don't see how to turn on this water. Is there a breaker, or switch somewhere? Was it an option, and possibly non-functioning on my boat? I assume this hose uses lake water, and not fresh water? Any advice/info appreciated.

On my boat the end of the hose pushes into to the receiving connector -- it takes a little force because the water line is pressurized by the freshwater pump. To remove, you have to slide the collar of the receiving connector down away from the coiled hose to release the hose.

^^^^^^this. On my 34 PC the connection is located starboard side under the hatch covering the anchor locker. Not far from the windlass controls.

Same here but one thing to note - I was having a very hard time trying to get my hose to insert into the fitting and ended up taking the whole fitting apart. Works like new now.

Bill. I have a PC40 and the anchor washdown uses fresh water from the holding tank. As long as the main breaker for the water pump is turned on, the hose will be pressurized. Just push the quick connect end of the coiled hose into the fitting near the windlass and you should be in business. NOTE: If your water pump turns on without any apparent leaks in the cabin or bilge, check the anchor washdown hose, as mine did spring a leak once and it was a while before I remembered to check the wash down area. Good luck!
