Alignment

I am new to boating and was reading the engine manual when I noticed that Merc and Ilmor recommend that you to check the engine alignment every 100 hours. This requires removing the outdrive and seems excessive. How many of you do this?

I check alignment every year, and probably only put 40 to 50 hours on the motor.

Every year, drive is drained and lube replaced, oil changed.

Every 2 years, replace impeller and fuel filter
