I have a 1993 252 BR and the from bow speakers are half covered by the upholstery padding (I should have got a pic).... I was wanting to upgrade then but can only access the lower two bolts, any ideas? Also how is the best way to run the wires for new speakers under the bench seat? I looks like it will be challenging to ad new speakers as I can't access the gunwale areas. Thanks for any help or ideas!

I hope you like a good challenge and a neck ache! In order to get to the top screws, you will want to loosen the top cushions. In order to accomplish this, I suggest a nice neoprene life jacket lying in the front holds on each side, while you lay on your back, arm extended beyond reason into the dark chasms behind the cushions. Watch for wasp nests and spiders along the way. Sound like fun? It's really not too bad, but you'll have to work at it.

Seriously, though, there are two bolts (one on each end) with washers and lock nuts on each. A good ratchet with a deep socket, or a ratcheting end wrench works best. All you should need to do is loosen them so that you can lift them slightly out of the way of the screws.

Good luck!
