    Formula JR. 17.

That's a great looking survivor! Looks very original. Congrats on a great find. I believe your boat to be made in 1965 as a 1966 model (boat # 63). There were approximately 150 Jr.s made in total. You might find some information on your Interceptor engine here...

    Formula JR. 17.

Jr.s came with many different powerplants and some were even sold un-rigged. Do you have a tag in the boat like these? I have done quite a bit of research on these boats so, if you have any questions fire away. Throw up some pictures of the boat and it might help with figuring out what it was.

    Formula Jr. project

Unfortunately, I have been busy with my woodyboat fixing a couple things, winterizing and getting her tucked away. Also dealing with a car sale amongst other stuff.... So, the temperature has now dropped below what will allow any glassing activity. My revised plan is to just take advantage of...

    Formula Jr. project

An interesting day today... okay, good and bad. I got the plywood core cut out from the paper template and it fits, well, sort-of okay. The transom is so wavy I couldn't get the edges to meet. So, I braced the hull at the gunwales and cut out the offending transom that was curved and in the...

    Vintage Hull plates

Has anyone got a source for these early style hull plates? Or, possibly already had them re-done? I have found a couple of suppliers but, they are cost prohibitive for just one... any interest in getting a few made? Original examples attached (2" x 3")

    Early Formula capacity plates

I have a contact to reproduce the early Formula hull capacity plates. They would be 2" x 3" and black print on gold tones aluminum stock. The plates would be blank and require hand stamping of any numbers. They are also flat printed and not exactly like the originals. The cost to produce...

    Wanted: Vintage "Formula" hullside scripts

I'm looking for a pair of "FORMULA by Thunderbird" hull side scripts for my 65 Formula Jr (see pic). I don't need the "Jr" or the "bird" logo but, will be happy to take them as a set if available. If you have a set, or come across a set please contact me. PM or e-mail at dcsconroy@gmail.com...

1966 Formula Jr. Project (not mine) in California

This is a very original One owner family, FORMULA Jr with a Merc inline 6 and early sterndrive. Hull # 61. It comes with an original windshield (not attached). It has been out of the water (and in the California elements) for some time....around 1982, which is the last registration sticker...

    Formula Marine Co. Hull plate

Does anyone have a picture of the Formula Marine Co. Hull plate (prior to Thunderbird purchase) it would only be on the 233 (and possibly Jr. models) up to 1964.

    Hello from Newmarket, Ontario, Canada

Hello, I'm just checking in.... obviously new to this forum but not new to boats or forums. My name is Sean and I have a large interest in the Formula Jr boats (looking for a project boat) with their Wynne-Walters design history. I have owned several DONZIs in the past and also own a Greavette...
