    302 Sold

Extremely hard week for me. Debbie left my last Thursday, and I sold the Formula this Wednesday. May very well be the worse week of my life.

    Meaning of SR???

??? Does anyone know what the SR stands for, in the SR series of boats? I had a guy ask me today, and I have no idea. I'm guessing the "S" stands for Sport, and maybe the "R" stands for "Race". Does anyone know for sure?

Two in the water, running straight and true!

Well, not actually in the water, but I got a chance to fire up the engines in the Formula for the first time in months. Just a little gas down the carb, and they fired right up! I am a happy camper! ;D

Do you have water under your boat yet? With all the rain the past couple weeks, the river is about a half inch over my dock. It's averaged three feet below it for the past two years. We needed it. :)

    Yeah man!

I just received this in the mail today. Speedgirl from Oso's husband works at a Formula dealer, and brought it home, so she sent it to me. ;D

Check out this 25 year old engine

I pulled the intake off a 1982 454/330. This is exactly what it looked like when I pulled the intake. I didn't wipe it at all. 8)

    HP 500 longblock

I bought it to put in the Donzi, but I'm keeping the 330 in it instead. I bought it from Dollar Marine. It had under 300 hrs on it, and I was told it had good compression. It came out of a Formula 419, and the owner bought three new 525's and XR drives. $3500 picked up at my place. I don't...

    Brand new PPI bucket seats

I bought these a couple years ago, I was going to put them in my F20 project, which I finally pulled the plug on, so I still have these seats. They are from Premier Performance Interiors, which make a lot of interiors for many new manufactorers. These are the exact same seats they put in today's...

    Putting the fix to her

My boat had been originally equipted with an arch. The previous owner had removed it, and he put friction type tape over the holes. I looked good, and I never would have noticed it if he hadn't pointed it out. They finally started to curl, so I bought these yellow steps. Then I found one of them...

    Still no frigging water!

I changed the impeller in one seawater pump a while back, and just got dribbles out that exhaust. I figured I must have done something wrong, so today I pulled the pump again and didn't find anything I did wrong, or hook up wrong. Flushed both hoses going to the pump. Pulled off the t stat...

    Speaking of sea strainers

I had one engine that I fired up on the hose, and it wasn't flowing any water. I took the seawater pump off, and found a busted vane in the impeller. I replaced it, and installed back in the boat. While I was at it, I pulled both seastrainers, and they both had a very small amount of mud in...

    Bringing back recent memories.

Debbie and I are taking our fishboat up to South Carolina on Wednesday, to do some catfishing. I cleaned all the plugs in the engine, change fuel/water separator Anyway, we decided to run to Silver Glen to make sure everything was running good. We met a friend of ours at the Glen, and one of his...

    Shining up the 302

Friday, I cleaned up the transom area, touched up the paint on the drives, polished some of the hardware. Looking good! Yesterday, I cleaned the interior, and put 303 on it. It's surprising how much dust gets through a full cover.
